Hey you! Yes you… come and join us in the official opening of the Inanda Children’s Wilderness Park. The Inanda Children’s Wilderness Park is a protected natural facility that provides therapeutic nature-based activities for the whole family which was inspired by the German concept of the Kinderwildnis. The first of its kind in South Africa
The Inanda Children’s Wilderness Park is a one of a kind facility situated in the heart of the colourful community of Inanda. We offer therapeutic nature based activities for the whole family. We will be providing many exciting activities that showcases the true essence of the wilderness park. If you are interested in arts and crafts, yoga, nature walks, learning about how to grow your own gardens and many more then this is one for you!
Please bring your picnic blankets and come take part in the festivities.

Where? The Inanda Children’s Wilderness Park (across from the Inanda Seminary)
Time? 12pm – 4pm (1 March) and 10am-4pm (2-3 March)

The official opening will take place at 12:00pm on the 1st March 2019 and between 10:00am – 4:00pm on 2-3 March. The purpose of the opening is to showcase the various programmes that the Inanda Children’s Wilderness Park has and to welcome the community to their new safe space.
It will take place within an environmental festival vibe with many creative activities to choose from. Go on and explore some of the exciting programmes that we have to offer whilst developing motor and cognitive skills.
We will be showcasing the following activities:
- Nature arts and crafts such as weaving and creating beautiful suncatcher windchimes
- Nature walks and scavenger hunts
- Gardening workshops
- Nature and recyclable art display
- Fashion show using recyclable materials
